frantic pants

Reading this guys blog and ‘If’ list brought me right back to one of my favorite courses from college which was about ‘new art forms since the 1960s’. Apparently this artist has a long list of things you can pay him to do…on this list you can do anything from pay him to think about you for one minute or to fly to foreign locals or even pay for his MFA tuition fees (which in return you will get all the art he makes during his MFA…one semester purchases are available as well).

His ideas may seem a wee bit strange but it very much reminds me of great fluxus art (like when artists would peel labels of cans and let people on the street choose at random what they would eat) by letting you choose his actions and guide his art. Definitely an awesome marriage of art and the net even if his site is slightly messy/hard to navigate at first.

PS the ‘performance art’ lettering is from geoGreeting which I saw the other day and i have felt like using ever since…so here it is in all its random glory!
